“The Layal Handbag" is inspired by a hand fan's design." The waved back and forth structure of a fan is mirrored in this bag’s design. The inspiration for this bag stems from ancient Egyptian hand fans, going back to the roots of the founders. Egyptian fans were wide and set, as is the structure of this handbag. They became more of a social accessory as time elapsed, stimulating the creation of this bag. In all periods, the most common types of fans were lotiform and palmiform, imitating the leaf of the blue lotus or the frond of the date palm; resembling our iconic palmette leaf motif.
